Young at Heart
A look at the different types of group work and courses that we run within our service.
For over 15 years we have been delivering both private and NHS counselling services across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
How can we help you?
We have around 100 trained therapists and counsellors working across Cornwall to provide talking therapies for approximately 10,000 NHS patients each year. We help people recover from common mental health problems such as: anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, as well as other conditions like OCD.
Our range of psychological therapies are all available to people aged 16+ registered with a GP practice in Cornwall. They are free to access and include everything from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and traditional counselling services, to the very latest evidence-based treatments.
All of our practitioners are trained and qualified to deliver therapy in a number of ways. These may include: one-to-one sessions, group therapy or educational courses, telephone or online therapy. We ensure that you receive the right type of support, quickly and in a way that best suits your needs.

We are part of the national Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) programme - see www.iapt.nhs.uk for more details. This programme is central to the Government’s plans to increase access to, and choice of, talking therapies.
